ACI (ADVANCE CARGO INFORMATION) PROGRAM HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN CÔTE D’IVOIRE UNDER THE NAME OF BSC (BORDEREAU DE SUIVI DES CARGAISONS)

The BSC was set up in response to Ministerial Decree No.340 issued by the Ministry of Transport of Côte d’Ivoire on 12 November 2001. This administrative document is required for all shipments of goods entering the country.

An on-line system called “BSC on-line” has been launched on May 1 2005 to replace the previous BSC paper-based system in operation since 2002. The new on-line version is accessible via Internet on the pages of OIC (Office Ivoirien des Chargeurs)  www.oic.ci . It consists of an internet-based tracking application to monitor the country sea trade. The B.S.C - Bordereau de Suivi des Cargaisons is the main tool in maritime monitoring.

OIC represents the official institution in charge of BSC, while programme management is carried out in partnership with the SGS Group (SGS Société Générale de Surveillance). The technical centre  (CT-BSC) is located in SGS Côte d’Ivoire at the following address:

Km1, Boulevard de Marseille, Treichville
01 BP 795 Abidjan 01  - Côte d’Ivoire
The BSC Technical Centre is in charge of the following :

  • Assistance to all economic operators to ensure a full understanding and familiarity with the BSC on-line procedures by those who are in charge of completing the formalities linked to all goods and services entering the country or being exported outside the country.

Management of clients’ registered accounts and of BSC validation.
