Destination Inspection

Destination Inspection provides technical support and capacity building to Customs administrations to:

• Improve import clearance processes in order to facilitate compliant trade,
• Optimise the collection of import duties/taxes, and
• Enhance the detection of misdeclared and/or fraudulent transactions and illegal cargo.

This is achieved using a combination of high technology tools, such as cargo x-ray scanners and risk management data bases, coupled with research and investigation expertise in the SGS global network of affiliates.
