Scope of the Mandate
In connection with the expiration of the implementation period of the policy importing non-new machinery and machinery equipment as regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade Number 756/MPP/Kep/11/2002, meanwhile in reality the Indonesian economic condition has not been conducive and therefore, it is still needed a breakthrough effort to support the smoothness of the goods distribution flow as well as provision production facilities for the capital goods users whose its purchasing power is still low, so it is considered necessary to continue the policy of non-new machine and machinery equipment import;

b.that in the frame of stabilizing the implementation of the policy as meant in letter a, more comprehensively, then the understanding of machine and machinery equipment shall be extended to be capital goods;

Description of Actual Services Provided by the SGS Staff
In its capacity as the sub contractor of the Surveyor named in the Decree for the verification or technical survey of used capital goods, SGS:

Verifies that the capital goods are still feasible to be used or reconditioned for re-function, are non scrap and provides information concerning the technical specification.

Places evidence of inspection on the packaging of the textiles which have been subject to the verification or technical survey, in the form of seals or labels.
