Scope of the Mandate
In order to strictly control the import and ownership of colour printing machines in Indonesia and minimize the possibilities of producing counterfeit packaging materials and false banknotes and security instruments. The future import and ownership of such machinery will be strictly licensed upon the recommendation of the Ministry of Industry and the Anti Banknotes Counterfeiting Coordinating Agency (BOTASUPAL).

Description of Actual Services Provided by the SGS Staff
In its capacity as the sub contractor of the Surveyor named in the Regulation for the verification or technical assessment of ceramic imports, SGS will:

  • Carry out verification or technical assessment to imports of Color Multifunction Machines, Color Photocopy Machines and Color Printing Machines;
  • Issue and print Certificate of Inspection (a.k.a. LS) based on the data/information of relevant documents and from physical inspection to goods to be shipped/imported;
  • Designate inspectors authorized to execute the Certificates of Inspection (LS) and receive endorsement of the same from DG of Foreign Trade;
  • File a monthly written report regarding the implementation of the verification or technical assessment.
